The free ‘Nationalpark Sommercard Mobil’ provides holiday guests with a great deal of variety and the maximum mobility
From 1 May 2018 the ‘Nationalpark Sommercard Mobil’ provides an innovative premiumcard for a holiday in the Hohe Tauern National Park holiday region. With this all-inclusive card holiday-makers get to enjoy more than 60 attractions and sights, museums and natural spectacles free of charge as well as leisure and sports facilities and many cable cars too. The card also offers maximum mobility: it entitles the holder among other things to free use of public transportand includesday entry to the‘Großglockner alpine road’, as well as a weekly ticket for the Gerlos alpine road.
The Hohe Tauern National Park is the biggest National Park in the Alps. Its aim is bring the unique natural landscape to life for people, with its 300 glaciers, protected wild animal speciesand botanical treasuresand for the generationsto come. Sustainability and environmentally-friendlinesshave a key role to play in theHohe Tauern National Park. It is with this backdrop that from 1 May 2017 there will be a new Premiumcard, the‘Nationalpark Sommercard Mobil’. As well as providing free entry to over 60 attractions in the region and free participation in the National Park Rangerprogrammeit also provides over twenty hikesand excursions each week and very special services in terms of mobility.
Maximummobility for holiday guests in the Hohe Tauern National Park holiday Region
Holiday guests who are spending the night in the holiday region will receive the new ‘Nationalpark Sommercard Mobil’ as a gift from their accommodation providers between 1 Mayand 31 October 2018 (hotels, guesthouses, farms, holiday apartments). As well as free entry and additional discounts guests also get to enjoy the following mobility services for the duration of their stay, including the day they arrive and the day they are due to depart:
- Free use every day of the Pinzgauer Lokalbahnand all SVV Postbusse between Königsleiten and Rauris
- Free use of participating hiking taxis in Dürnbachtal, Mühlbachtal, Habachtal and Seidlwinkltal
- Free E-Bike hire for one day
- A day ticket for the Großglockner alpine road
- A weekly ticket for the Gerlos alpine road (also valid on the day you are due to arrive and depart)
